The new $13.5 million Mount Pleasant Village Hall & Police Station is a single story, 72,000 square foot facility that houses multiple Village operations in one site. The Muermann Engineering team was responsible for the design of several green/sustainable features including plumbing fixtures, LED lighting and lighting controls. Lake Mills, WI - Lake Mills Middle School

Best of "Green"
The Muermann Engineering team collaborated on electrical, plumbing and fire protection system designs for the 60,000 square foot addition and 37,000 square foot renovation of Lake Mills Middle School. The project design directly contributed to an overall savings of 45% energy and $85,000 per year. In addition, the project received two recognitions for “Green” building and is LEED Platinum certified. Read more about the USGBC Best School Award Winner of 2011.

Hartford, WI - Jack Russell Memorial Library
"It's the community's living room."
For the first time in its history, Hartford library has its own building with double the space and better accessibility. The 36,000 square foot building showcases Muermann Engineering’s lighting design with accent lighting and a low voltage lighting control system meant to enhance the natural day-lighting to save energy and money. Baraboo, WI - Baraboo Water Utility

Baraboo Shares Signal and Success
Along with MSA Professional Services, Muermann Engineering brought Baraboo's Water Utility and Police Department together in a break-through shared communications system...the first in Wisconsin and one of the first in the nation. Electrical Design

During the past 25 years, Muermann Engineering has provided electrical engineering design services for over 4,500 projects for over 400 clients. Because of our vast experience, we have insight into optimal configurations and solutions that meet owners’ requirements and often exceed owners’ expectations. We are dedicated to the evolving demands of our clients and are current with the latest technologies in lighting systems, energy conservation, automated control systems, and power distribution. Recognizing the need for sustainability, we have developed our LEED offerings and have designed numerous facilities to LEED standards, with many achieving LEED silver, gold, and platinum certifications.

Water and Wastewater Division

Our Water and Wastewater group staff consists of four licensed Professional Engineers whose primary duties are associated with electrical engineering for water and wastewater utilities. These projects have ranged from simple pump station design to multi-million dollar electrical and control system project designs. We have developed many tools specific to these duties including database-driven CAD documentation of instrumentation and control systems. These tools assist us in preparing accurate and flexible construction documents. Specific areas of expertise include medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, stand-by power systems, motor controls, programmable logic controllers, supervisory control and data acquisition, primary instrumentation and sensing devices, and other areas of design.
